10 minutes after midnight, on December 14, around twenty National Police agents placed a group of seven young people against the wall who were smoking at the doors of the building. Estark Whiskey located at the bottom of Hotel Diana Plus, a famous establishment that has operated for years as one of the main brothels in Madrid. The premises were subject to an inspection of the works and GRAN MADRID was a direct witness.
With the mercury approaching zero degrees, the seven young people seem resigned to the arrival of the National Police, who make them put out their cigarettes and identify themselves. Inside, the authorities force those present to stand for a long time and in single file on the sides of the premises to search and identify conscientiously to more than twenty men who had gone to the brothel on Saturday evening.
The operation resulted in the affiliation of more than 50 people: 33 women prostitutes, around twenty men and six employees, including waitresses and security guards. Even though several dozen more people were gathered at the Estark whiskey store, only Two drug charges laid and woman arrested for being in an irregular situation.

Half an hour before, the person in charge of the operation brought together immigration agents, the judicial police, the prevention and reaction unit (UPR), canine guides and the municipal police to discuss the progress of the check. “It’s a day with Christmas lunches and dinners. There may be some blunders. If necessary, act forcefully. It was a small operation, but it got out of hand. We all go together, we separate and check the men and women, and the dogs come in,” he explained.
Intending to secure everything, four police officers went to the brothel in advance, camouflaged in civilian clothes. “In other operations, girls in an irregular situation They tried to escape through the emergency exit. The civilians will close this exit so that no one leaves the premises,” concluded the person in charge of the operation.
After authorities arrived, a man sweating heavily attempted to leave the scene, but came face to face with a police officer who told him: “Where are you going? Come in!” Police were controlling the scene while some of those present appeared upset and music continued to play at full volume.
Several UPR agents.
After a few moments, the women were placed on the left of the room and the men on the right of an L-shaped room of blue marble. Silence invaded the space, the glasses remained half-finished and the papers on the floor became visible. Clientele between 20 and 60 years old, mainly Latinos, and especially young women, also Latinas and Eastern Europeans.
Two men looked at the officers defiantly and jokingly, while a group of four young people, in their twenties, seemed stunned. “What’s going on?” » snapped one of them. Everything seemed under control: the high number of agents made it possible to avoid any attempt at violence or escape. “No one has escaped. So far, everything has gone according to plan,” said a police officer.
Although it is relatively early, several customers have presented a high state of intoxication and they could barely get the documentation. Two latecomers entered the premises as if the situation was not theirs. A police officer greeted them with irony: “Do you want a drink? Well, stay there, we’ll search you.”
Narcotic substances seized.
The men’s wing seemed calm in the presence of the UPR. The women, on the other hand, seemed more upset, some were laughing. The searches and identifications began, while other agents went into the rooms. Especially, The attitude of one of the young girls greatly irritated the police. The woman appeared in an excited attitude and with a happy face despite the presence of dozens of officers. After running across the room, she even found herself confronted by a police officer, to whom she shouted not to push her.
It may seem that the hotel has little to do with the whiskey store, but the reality is that the rooms of the two are connected. “The whiskey store operates like a hotel. The girls rent the rooms for the days they want and they can do whatever they want there. This is where the problem lies. Additionally, on the upper floor there is a corridor that connects the two businesses,” an agent explained.
The first people searched left the scene via the emergency exit, their nerves still raw. A man in his fifties asked worriedly, “We won’t have a reservation for that, will we?” A young man of around 25 years old admitted: “It’s the first time we’ve come. What a shame. We won’t come back again.” And he added: “Before the police entered, there was some pushing and shoving, it was quite tense”, in reference to the actions of plainclothes police officers to thwart any escape attempt.

By 1:00 a.m., the men had left the premises and the women began to be questioned, some in pajamas and coming from the bedrooms. Shortly after, a bold man impassively enters the premises and ends up being searched.
The raid ended with no weapons seized. The tray where the drugs were accumulated was barely visible several doses of cocaine and a bag containing leftover tusi. An alleged ointment described as Viagra for the lips by its owner was also seized. “The type of customer who consumes and comes to a place like this, if he makes a lot of effort, then he has no ability. That’s why not many drugs were seized,” said one officer. “For what it could have been, there wasn’t much partying,” added another.
Outside, the cold continued to cut off the street and the night refused to end. Some of the searched men remained at the doors of the whiskey store, as if nothing had happened, waiting for the evening to continue. Others, still in shock, decided to continue the party elsewhere.
