After seeing his mandate revoked by the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, the indicted federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem (PL-RJ) reacted to the decision of the President of the Chamber, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), and sent a message to the Paraíba politician.
“The President of the Chamber of Deputies revoked my mandate with a simple stroke of the pen, by the Council of the Chamber, out of pure cowardice. A decision which did not respect the rules of the Chamber itself nor the will of the plenary vote, and even less the clear text of the Constitution,” he declared. To this end, the President of the House declared: “I did what I had to do.” Unfortunately, these are the words of a doll, a puppet in the hands of an STF minister. Cowardice is being aware of what is right and not doing it,” he wrote on the social network X.

Ramagem continues his attacks against Motta by declaring: “He cannot have the courage to defend, in accordance with the law, his own institution and the mandates of Parliament. He is a president subordinate to a minister of another power.”

He carried out unconstitutional orders as a subordinate of a dictator minister.

The deputy was dismissed after being sentenced by the Supreme Federal Court (STF), in September this year, in the trial of the coup plot, with final judgment, to 16 years, one month and 15 days in prison in a first closed regime. He left the country last month and now lives in the United States, thanks to an illegal maneuver, according to the Federal Police (PF).
In addition to Ramagem, federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) saw his mandate revoked by the Chamber. He was also convicted by the Supreme Court, but in another case he fled to the United States when he found himself in the crosshairs of justice.
According to the Chamber, it is understood that parliamentarians cannot exercise their functions when they live in another country, in particular because of the absences they accumulate in the Brazilian Parliament.
