Residents of Block N of Block 411 Norte said they were informed, through a message group present in the building, of the case of rape and attempted femicide that occurred in the early hours of this Saturday (20/12), in Asa Norte.
According to resident Cláudia Alves, 51, the message shared in the group informed that a cleaning employee had found a pool of blood in a common area of the building and had informed the condominium manager. According to reports, security camera footage was checked and the alert was relayed to residents.
No one would have witnessed what happened at the location where the blood was found, and until that point, military police had not been specifically called in to investigate the trace.

Trader Andrea Alfaia, 48, owner of Alfaia Cerâmicas, says episodes of crime in the neighborhood are not recent and that she needed to strengthen the establishment’s security given the growing sense of insecurity in the area.
“We had car thefts in this parking lot. Mine was one of the only ones that wasn’t stolen, and after that I put a grill on the store door. I teach ceramics classes and some classes are held in the evening, so we have to be very careful. After this crime, the fear only increased,” he said.
A resident of the neighborhood for around forty years, Kerley Alessandra, 46, says that, even if episodes of violence are part of the routine in the region, the delinquency recorded this Saturday had a different impact among residents.
“Here there were always fights in the bars, confusion, drug use. But there had never been a rape. It was very scary for everyone,” he said.
According to her, fear directly interferes with routine. “The police advise us not to travel at night. We do our shopping before dark, avoid going out,” he reported.
The crime
The crime occurred in the early hours of Saturday (20/12), on the stilts of a block in Block 411, Asa Norte. According to the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF), Rafael Silva Lima, 19, attacked a woman who was walking along the block. Security camera footage shows the suspect walking alongside the victim moments before the attack.
The recordings record the moment the man attacks the woman, who tries to resist, but ends up being restrained and raped. The attack lasted approximately 15 minutes, according to the investigation.
After the attack, the victim was found with several injuries in the commercial area of 411 Norte and transported to the Federal District Base Hospital (HBDF), where he remains hospitalized in very serious condition, putting his life in danger.
Rafael was located and arrested in the act by military police while still in the area. Upon approach, he showed bloodstains, abrasions and signs of physical struggle. According to delegate Marco Farah, from the 2nd Police Station (Asa Norte), during the personal search – standard procedure before being sent to the cell – it was found that the suspect still had a condom on his genitals.
The investigation shows that the victim and the attacker knew each other and that both were under the influence of alcohol or other substances at the time of the crime. The case is being investigated for rape and attempted femicide.
