Real Madrid beat Barcelona’s RCD Espanyol 3-1 in the grand final of the second edition of the Iniesta Cup Solissa tournament football in junior category which has once again transformed Albacete into a … major centers of national grassroots football. The white team had a high-level weekend against an Espanyol who also had a notable participation.
Third place was awarded to Albacete Balompié after beating the Iniesta Academy of Japan 5-1, a duel that closed the fight for the places of honor. The tournament took place last weekend at the Andrés Iniesta Sports City in the capital Albacete, a venue already consolidated to host high-level training competitions.
A total of 24 teams, with almost 300 players in the running, took part in an event organized by the EFB Albacerwhich has maintained the international structure and sporting spirit that characterize the event.
The last day was followed by legendary footballer international born in Fuentealbilla and which gives its name to the tournament, a support which once again underlined the growing importance of this competition in the grassroots football calendar.
The winners received a replica of the statue of Iniesta near the Carlos Belmonte stadiumwork of the artist Javier Molina Gil.
