This Monday, the municipality of La Plata honored retired municipal employees with 25 years of professional experience during an event at the municipal theater Coliseo Podesta, attended by members of the municipal cabinet and family members of the honorees.
“This is a well-deserved award for those who have given their lives at the service of the community, for those who have appreciated their work and contributed to making La Plata a better city,” said Mayor Julio Alak, who was accompanied by the municipal chief of staff Carlos Bonicatto; and Human Resources Undersecretary Josefina Sannen Mazzucco.

Alak also thanked the award winners for “the effort they put in because they worked with so much discipline and commitment.”
In total, the municipal leader awarded medals and diplomas to around 200 pensioners from the period 2024/2025 and around 200 employees with more than 25 years in various municipal secretariats. There was also a welcome breakfast and each worker had a souvenir photo taken.
The certificates expressed gratitude for the honorees’ commitment and willingness to serve and highlighted their valuable contribution to the general welfare and their sustained work over the years.
