The coach has been without a club since September, when he left Fluminense, and says he is not worried about returning to manage a football team soon.
Coach Renato Gaúcho stressed that he does not plan to take on a new professional challenge in the next three months. After all, he lists other priorities and talks about enjoying the holidays at least until March.
“Enjoying my friends, enjoying my family, my football, my draft beer and that’s why I left Fluminense. I have several projects, other things are happening, and in February, March or April, I think about it (football)”, commented Renato Gaúcho, in an interview with “Sportv”, during the “Jogo das Estrelas” 2025.
Zico’s “All-Star Game” charity match has become a tradition and entered the “Official Guide” and “Tourist Guide” of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is therefore expected that there will be an increase in interest in tickets from the next edition, the 21st. As is already the custom, the event will take place at the Maracanã, this Saturday (27/12)
Renato Gaúcho, for his part, is one of the main coaches of Brazilian football in recent decades. Multi-Grêmio champion as a player and coach, his last job was at Fluminense, between April and September 2025. In fact, he resigned after Flu was eliminated by Lanús (ARG) in the quarterfinals of the South American Championship.
“Do you miss me? You’re going to stay a little longer, because I’m going to be on vacation a little longer. It’s great to be able to meet Zico, who is a friend and an idol and who can also participate in this charitable and extremely important event”, said Renato Gaúcho.
