Thiago Galhardo, free on the market since the end of his contract with Santa Cruz in November this year, even considered retiring from football, after his difficult departure from the Pernambuco club.
However, according to information from GE, the 36-year-old player would be in the sights of América-RJ.
Last Friday (12), the striker published a photo on his social networks wearing the Rio club jersey, which increased rumors about a possible deal.
On his Instagram, Thiago Galhardo posted a training photo with the America jersey.

According to the publication, America, who will return to compete in a division of the Brazilian Championship after 16 years, wants to have Galhardo as a big recruit for the competition.
In addition to the national tournament, the Rio club will also participate in the A2 Series of the Campeonato Carioca.
One obstacle however is Thiago Galhardo’s salary. In Santa Cruz, the former Botafogo, Vasco, Internacional and Fortaleza striker received around R$150,000 per month. Therefore, América-RJ is looking for a partner capable of investing in the player.
