The man shot by a criminal policeman during a disturbance at a bachelor party lost his spleen, part of his intestine and remains hospitalized in serious condition at the Federal District Base Hospital.
The affair occurred in the early hours of this Thursday (11/12), in a function room of the Brazilian International Convention Center (CICB). The circumstances of the shooting are being investigated by the 1st Police Station (Asa Sul).
At the end of the event, while the roadies from the company responsible for dismantling the light and sound structure were collecting the equipment, two of them allegedly argued, sparking a fight.

The judicial police officer, identified as Víctor Barreiro de Oliveira, attended the party and intervened to try to put an end to the confusion. He allegedly identified himself as a police officer and ordered those involved to stop.
However, according to the report, one of the employees turned on the officer and grabbed him. During the physical struggle, a gun was fired and struck the victim.

The injured man was rescued and transported to the base hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Due to the severity of his injury, he lost his spleen and part of his intestine, remaining hospitalized in serious condition.
Victor Barreiro de Oliveira went to the police station to provide clarification. After analyzing the incident, the delegate in charge of the case indicated that, initially, the police officer had acted in self-defense.
According to law enforcement, even after the officer identified himself, the employee attempted to attack him, which allegedly led to the shooting.
Still according to the delegate, there was no excess on the part of the judicial police officer. He reportedly stopped shooting as soon as the attacks ended, stayed there and called for help for the victim. The matter continues to be investigated in order to fully clarify the facts.

The Chronicle contacted the Prison Administration Secretariat (Seape) to find out if the department had opened some sort of internal procedure to investigate the facts.
The secretariat said it had not yet been officially informed of what happened but was investigating the incident with the civil police.
