The personal experience of chemical dependency has also been transformed into a cinematic work. In 2015, Nick participated in the screenplay of the film Being Charlie, directed by Rob Reiner. The film is inspired by his trajectory and depicts the life of a young man struggling with addiction, a character played by actor Nick Robinson, known for productions such as Jurassic World and With Love, Charlie.
At the time of the film’s release, Nick spoke publicly about aiming to expose the challenges of recovery and the impacts of addiction within the family.
