Midfielder Robson Signorini, known as Robinho, announced his retirement from professional football last Wednesday (24/12). At 38, the player announced his decision on social networks, after almost two decades of career.

In a post on social media, Robinho said football will continue to be part of his life even after his athletic career ends.
“Football was, is and will be part of my life. My eternal gratitude to this passionate sport. I have ended my career as a professional athlete. However, I will continue in the world of football. Now, outside the four lines,” he said.

The last club in the midfield was Brusque. The team’s farewell to the field took place on August 17, in the match against Londrina, in the first phase of Serie C of the Brazilian Championship. He did not play the final quadrangular of the competition.

During the season, Robinho entered the field 19 times, scored no goals and provided only one assist.
Revealed by Mogi Mirim, the former player built a career with stints at Santos, Coritiba, Grêmio, Palmeiras, Cruzeiro, Paysandu and Avaí, among other clubs. Along the way, he won 6 titles, including a Brasileirão and three Brazilian Cups.
