ARLETE SALLES TALKS ABOUT THREE GRACES
Interviewed by Estadão, Arlete Salles spoke about the invitation to play Josefa de Três Graças. “They told me: ‘She’s an old lady’. I said: Old lady? So, that won’t work (laughs). Josefa is a physically tired, mistreated, aging woman. A woman who has money, with a good social status, but who has had a difficult life”the veteran said.
“I don’t have a cruel daughter. My children are wonderful. For me, as a performer, there are very difficult moments. I have to move away from who I am, not let myself be defeated. I have never played a character who suffers a daily moral massacre”commented the star.
RETIREMENT?
The artist took the opportunity to make a revelation. “I’m not going to give any guarantees. But I think it’s my last soap opera. At this moment in my life, which is a good time – I never thought that growing old would be so bad and so good – I want to do theater, films, series and just small appearances in soap operas. Quite calmly, without chaining jobs to others.”Arlete said.
