The IVECO Group has announced changes at the head of its Spanish subsidiary, with the appointment, as of January 1, of Ruggero Mughini, who will assume the presidency of IVECO Spain.
Mughini, who was already general manager of IVECO for Spain and … Portugal will now add this new role to its responsibilities. Its main mission will be, as the company explains in a press release, “to consolidate IVECO as a benchmark in the sector, particularly as the only manufacturer of industrial vehicles in Spain”.
This appointment comes after the departure of Ángel Rodríguez Lagunilla, who will undertake new professional careers outside the Group. IVECO wanted to sincerely thank him for his almost 30 years of “remarkable career”.
During his tenure with the company, Lagunilla held key positions including management of the IVECO plants in Brescia, Valladolid and Madrid, and became global head of the entire manufacturing sector. Since 2020, as President of IVECO Spain, his corporate work has been essential in positioning the brand among the main ones in the sector at a national level.
Ruggero Mughini is a veteran of IVECO, where he started in 2001. He has had a solid career in areas such as sales, after-sales and operational marketing, with national and international experience.
Prior to his current role, he was Managing Director of IVECO Portugal (2013) and Commercial Director of Heavy Vehicles for Asia and Oceania (APAC).
Having lived and worked for over two decades in Spain, Mughini has extensive knowledge of the local market and the challenges facing the industry, which will be key to the company’s future plans.
