
Russia launched violent attacks on kyiv and the northeastern and southern regions of Ukraine, causing at least one death and 19 injuries, amid anticipation for the upcoming meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US Donald Trump.
kyiv Mayor Vitali Klichko announced that one woman died and there are at least 19 injured in the city, while in other regions fires and explosions were reported. The Russian attacks, which also targeted electrical infrastructure, were carried out with drones and missiles, including Kinschal-type ultrasonic missiles, according to Ukrainian media.
In Kyiv, according to the city administration, there are 2,600 residential buildings without heating after the attacks, with temperatures around zero degrees. In addition, 320,000 homes remained without heating.
Faced with intensifying Russian attacks on Ukraine, Poland closed its doors two airports in the northeast of the country and its air forces deployed military aircraft to control the airspace.
