Sabrina Sato went with her daughter Zoe to Vila Isabel for the first time together, taking the girl to get to know the community during the rehearsal in Morro dos Macacos, at the samba school court. For the occasion, Zoé even wore the Rio samba school t-shirt and Sabrina chose a minimalist, crochet look, with thread details, fools and flowers to decorate it.
“Vila Isabel, these are roots. It is a soil, it is a history, it is a living community. Coming back to Morro dos Macacos, even more alongside my daughter, is to rediscover who we really are. It is to remember where the strength, the rhythm and the affection come from. The repetition was beautiful because it belonged. They were people who recognized each other in the look, in the song, in the embrace. Long live Morro dos Macacos. Long live the people of samba. Long live our Vila Isabel, who teaches that love is also its root,” the presenter wrote on social networks.
Morro dos Macacos is a neighborhood in Vila Isabel, also known for the conflict between criminal factions such as Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP) and Comando Vermelho (CV). The on-site event brought the community and school together to the sound of the 2026 plot: “Macumbebê, Samborembá: I dreamed that a Sambista dreamed of Africa” in honor of the black artist Heitor dos Prazeresextolling Afro-Brazilian ancestry, culture and the importance of Little Africa, in Rio de Janeiro, the cradle of samba.
What does Sabrina Sato look like?
Sabrina wore a micro skirt and crochet top custom-made by designer Paul Aaron, with floral applique details and loose threads, creating movement in the production. She completed the look with white sandals with tied straps around the ankle and left her hair loose and straight.
