Mohamed Salah has lost place in the main team and has sharply criticized Liverpool’s terrible form. In a new match without a win, the 3-3 draw against Leeds this Saturday (6/12), the Egyptian declared that he was “being played to the lions” and that he had no connection with coach Arne Slot.
“It’s unacceptable for me. I don’t know why this is happening to me. I don’t understand,” said Salah, who has not taken the field in two of the Reds’ last three matches.
“People see, especially last season (top scorer and assists leader in the Premier League). I don’t know why I’m on the bench, I feel like the club is throwing me to the lions. That’s my feeling,” he said.

In almost three minutes of evacuation, number 11 declared that “he had a good relationship with the coach, but suddenly that relationship ceased to exist”. “I had a meeting with him and he knows how I feel. What they are doing to me is unacceptable and I don’t know why they chose me, honestly.”
The player also gave no guarantees that he would remain in the team after playing for Egypt in January. “I will be at Anfield to say goodbye to the fans before the Africa Cup of Nations. I don’t know what will happen after that.”
