The Public Ministry requested, this Thursday (12/18), the opening of a police investigation to investigate the clandestine sale of MorumBis boxes by the directors of São Paulo.
The case follows the leak of audio revealing the involvement of Mara Casares and Douglas Schwartzmann in negotiating the VIP areas of Shakira’s show. The information was confirmed by Metropolises.
Mara Casares, director of the women’s and social sector, and Douglas Schwartzmann, director of the base, are accused of private corruption of sport and coercion in the process. In addition to the leaders of São Paulo, Rita de Cassia Adriana Prado, responsible for the intermediary in the sale, will also be investigated.

The complaints allege manipulation of interests to benefit the club’s private assets and intimidation so that the complaint could be withdrawn.
The directors reportedly negotiated the sale for use of the boxes at Shakira’s show, held in February this year. However, as this is a separate event of the club, the club cannot use the venue for profit.
Mara and Douglas were removed from their posts after the information was leaked and São Paulo said in a statement it would take steps to investigate the matter internally.
