São Paulo recruits Danielzinho, from Mirassol

São Paulo are set to announce the signing of midfielder Danielzinho from Mirassol for the 2026 season. The 31-year-old is expected to sign a contract in the coming days. The duration of the contract is two years (until the end of 2027). The agreement also includes an extension clause for an additional year, subject to the achievement of the objectives defined between the parties. The information was published by “ge”.

Danielzinho played for Mirassol for three seasons, with 145 matches played in that time. The country club even presented a renewal proposal, but was unable to move forward in negotiations. The current contract ends at the end of this year, which has allowed progress in negotiations with São Paulo.

In the current season, Danielzinho participated in 50 matches and did not score a single goal during this period, although he played with freedom of attack. In the Brazilian championship, he entered the field in 37 of the 38 rounds played. Mirassol guaranteed its participation in the Libertadores edition after the campaign.

Before playing for Mirassol, Danielzinho played for Grêmio Novorizontino, Sampaio Corrêa, Oeste and Ferroviária. The athlete began his professional career at Atlético-MG in 2014.

In addition to negotiations with Danielzinho, São Paulo has carried out inquiries for defender Jemmes, 25, also linked to Mirassol. The club assessed the defender’s situation, but found values ​​higher than the limit considered possible at the time. The talks did not result in formal negotiations.
