The Traffic Engineering Company (CET) implemented a special traffic monitoring operation in the Avenida Paulista area, Monday (29/12) from 5 a.m., on the occasion of the 100th São Silvestre International Race, in São Paulo. The race will take place on the last day of the year and 50,000 athletes are expected to participate.
The concentration for the start of the route will be on Av. Paulista, between Rua Augusta and Alameda Campinas. The departure is in the direction of Consolação, between Augusta and Frei Caneca streets, taking both routes.

The arrival will also be on Avenida Paulista, between Avenida Brigadeiro Luís Antônio and Alameda Campinas. The roads that make up the route will be blocked from 3 a.m., with traffic diversions in place.

CET Traffic Engineering will monitor closures and guide traffic flow in areas, to maintain free-flowing conditions and keep road users safe. The company advises drivers to try to know access routes and alternatives in advance, to favor public transport and not to park in places where there are pipes and/or signs for temporary use.
