Saulo Poncio used social networks, this Friday (19/12), to make a statement on the definitive archiving of the accusation of sexual crime brought by Laura Araújo. According to the influencer, the Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor’s Office concluded, after months of investigation, that there was no evidence of a crime in the case involving his name.
According to him, the investigation was definitively closed after analyzes by the prosecution and the general prosecutor’s office. In the text, Saulo Poncio said that the authorities identified inconsistencies in the reports presented by Laura Araújo and criticized the disclosure of confidential information and versions that, according to him, do not correspond to the documents.
Finally, the singer said he would take legal action to protect his honor and hold accountable those who published unjustified accusations.

“In recent years, my personal and professional life has been crossed by very serious accusations. Out of respect for
truth of the facts and to the people accompanying me, I would like to clarify essential points on what has been the subject of an investigation by the competent authorities. The Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor’s Office conducted a rigorous investigation for months, analyzing statements, evidence and the expert report, which showed no evidence of a sex crime.
During the investigation, Ms. Laura Araújo began to repeatedly and inappropriately disclose confidential information about the investigation procedure, thus contributing to the dissemination of public versions incompatible with the reality of the case. During the investigation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office identified relevant inconsistencies in the reports presented by Ms. Laura Araújo. These elements, added to the results of the expertise, led the responsible prosecutor to conclude that there was no factual basis for the complaint, requesting the dismissal of the case.
Ms. Laura appealed this decision, and after further analysis, the Attorney General’s Office fully upheld the decision. understanding of the prosecution, definitively preserving the archives. The insistent dissemination of false information and the maintenance of a narrative already dismissed by the responsible authorities constitute a serious violation of my honor and dignity. In this perspective, I will adopt the appropriate legal measures to protect my rights, in particular so that Ms. Laura Araújo is duly held responsible for the unjustified accusations and revelations.”
