After the departure of Rinaldi Faria from SBT, it is the channel’s turn to officially end the children’s program “Bom Dia & Cia com Patati Patatá”, presented by the clowns created by the businessman.
In a press release published this Friday 12, SBT declares that it is promoting a reformulation of its morning programming schedule, which will now be devoted exclusively to journalistic content, with the news program “Primeiro Impacto” gaining an additional hour.
“With this change, the attraction presented by the country’s most beloved clown duo, leaves the programming starting next Monday, December 15. With fun images and a careful selection of cartoons and children’s content, Bom Dia & Cia with Patati Patatá fulfilled its mission with excellence. Throughout its exhibition, it offered safe entertainment for children, combined with a high artistic and production level,” the note said.
The broadcaster also thanked the entire production team, the presenting duo and, in particular, Rinaldi Faria, creator and manager of the project, for their efforts. “Children’s programming remains present in the SBT schedule with the broadcast of the shows ‘Sábado Animado’, with Silvia Abravanel, and ‘Domingo Animado’, always with a special guest.”
In addition, the channel is launching the SBT Kids channel in January, a linear program which combines educational animations, humor and fantastic stories. “The channel can be considered a haven of peace and entertainment for children at different stages of development, with a presence on major FAST platforms. SBT KIDS – You trust, they have fun,” the note added.
Last month, SBT announced the departure of Rinaldi Faria, who worked as a consultant for the channel and had temporarily held artistic and programming superintendence since July.
Rinaldi, 54, from São Paulo, is known for creating the clown duo Patati Patatá, one of the biggest childhood phenomena of the 2000s. At first, he played one of the characters himself. Since 2020 he has been the owner of Rede Mais Família, a channel dedicated to content with Christian values.
