SBT found a way to include Silvio Santos, owner of the channel who died in August last year, in the beginnings of SBT News. A hologram of Dono do Baú, who would have turned 95 this Friday (12/12), appeared on stage and gave a speech about the channel’s new phase.
“Today is a very special day. I am very happy to see many important people gathered here,” the statement begins. “Now it is my turn to support my wife, Íris, my daughters Cintia, Silvia, Daniela, Patrícia, Rebeca and Renata,” he adds.

The presenter, one of the greatest communicators in the history of Brazilian television, left behind his wife, Íris Abravanel, and their six daughters: Patrícia Abravanel, Rebeca Abravanel, Silvia Abravanel, Daniela Beyruti, Cintia Abravanel and Renata Abravanel.
