The São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPSP) charged security guard David Ferreira, 45, with the murder of businessman Paulo Vinícius dos Santos, 36, who died on October 24, four days after being punched at the door of a wine cellar in Guarulhos, São Paulo metropolitan region.
Security cameras recorded the moment of the crime. In the recording, Paulo can be seen taken to a garage next to the facility, where he is dropped off next to a traffic cone, at 2:48 a.m. on October 20.

According to the MPSP, the security guard of the establishment argued with the victim for “minor reasons” and gave a “violent punch” to Paulo’s face. The complaint was filed by prosecutor Rodrigo Merli Antunes and accuses the security guard of the crime of triple homicide.
“Although he should have acted to avoid the most serious consequences, it is certain that the security guard did not act and dragged the victim’s body to a nearby parking lot, leaving the victim in agony for more than an hour,” the prosecution said.
According to the prosecutor, David Ferreira must answer for qualified homicide for frivolous reasons, using cruel means and using an appeal that made it difficult for the injured party to defend himself.
The accused was arrested on October 27 in Arujá, Greater São Paulo. Previously, he was summoned to the police station investigating the case to be interviewed, but he did not appear.

The prosecution also requested that the investigation into the crime continue to determine whether the winery manager and other employees incited the security guard to attack the victim.
If the hypothesis is confirmed, they can be reported as participants. Otherwise, they will be responsible for the lack of assistance aggravated by the consequences of the death, because they also did not provide assistance to the victim.
