The proposal did not reach the minimum number of votes for the federal deputy, in the running, to lose her mandate
THE Chamber of Deputies rejected the indictment of the federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) during a plenary vote in the early hours of Thursday 11. Of the 408 parliamentarians who formed the quorum, 227 were in favor of losing the mandate, 170 against and 10 abstained. The minimum required for impeachment was 257 votes.
In May, Zambelli was convicted of Federal Court (STF) THE ten years’ imprisonment under a closed initial regime and a fine of two thousand minimum wage for the systems invasion of National Council of Justice (CNJ).
