The Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF) approved this Wednesday (12/10), in the second round, the readjustment of qualification bonuses for teachers in the public education network.
Written by the executive power, the text provides for a bonus of 10% for specialized professionals, 20% for those with a master’s degree and 30% in the case of a doctorate. The new law provides that the financial effects will come into force from January 1, 2026.
The change aims to adapt the percentages of diploma bonuses (referring to levels IV, V and VI) to recognize the academic qualifications of teachers, which will result in an increase of up to R$ 3,042.51 in the remuneration of teachers at the peak of their career with a workload of 40 hours per week.
The bonus is calculated on the basis of the values of step III of the salary scale for basic education teachers and educational advisors.
The values were obtained by calculating the difference between the final salary of the diploma stage and the base salary of the III stage (diploma), following the percentages defined in the approved bill.

The project is the realization of one of the measures announced in the agreement concluded between the category and GDF and which put an end to the strike carried out this year.
The law also provides that these provisions apply, where applicable, to retired civil servants and beneficiaries of pensions, with parity, linked to their career.
The head of the Teachers’ Union (Sinpro-DF), Samuel Fernandes, celebrated the approval of the bill and highlighted the 3,000 appointments expected to be announced by the GDF by the end of this year. “Victory of the fight, the strike and the category,” he underlined.
The measure aims to correct salary distortions, promote professional development and guarantee the stability of employment relations.
“The project is a step forward, but it is not enough. Our career still needs restructuring, compliance with objective 17 of the PDE, better salaries, appreciation of bonuses, conditions in schools and urgent appointments, because the deficit of professionals remains enormous,” declared MP Gabriel Magno (PT).
“The new tables, if approved, will come into force from January 1. The fight continues for strong public education and respected professionals,” he stressed.
Approved by district deputies, the project is now submitted to Governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) for sanction.
