After all, clubs urgently need to strengthen themselves for a season that begins in early January, with the first round of the Brasileirão. Will Kaio Jorge leave Cruzeiro for Flamengo?
Flamengo showed official interest in signing Kaio Jorge, big moment of the season and top scorer in the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil in 2025. Cruzeiro, however, acted quickly to protect its main asset: the Celeste board set the value of 50 million euros (around 326 million reais at current prices) to start any conversation, making Rio’s plans difficult.
The first red-black approach came up against the rigidity of Minas Gerais. Flamengo have signaled their intention to offer 30 million euros (R$195.8 million) for the striker. Although a high fee by national standards, the amount is identical to what Zenit of Russia offered mid-year and which Cruzeiro immediately refused. For Raposa, strengthening a direct rival in the fight for titles requires financial compensation “outside the curve”.
Gerson locked
Cruzeiro’s desire to count on Gerson’s football for the 2026 season comes up against a harsh financial reality and rigid play from the Russians. Conversations between the heavenly council and Zenit are stagnating at “point zero”, without an official proposal having been formalized yet. The Minas Gerais club understands that the operation is extremely complex, as the St. Petersburg team does not intend to facilitate the exit of a valuable asset that received a massive investment less than half a year ago.
The values put on the table scare the Brazilian market. The initial signal from Russia indicates that Zenit will only agree to open negotiations for 40 million euros (around 260 million reais at current prices).
São Paulo close to the side
São Paulo has opened negotiations and is currently negotiating the signing of Lucas Ramon, 31, who started Mirassol during the historic Brasileirão 2025 campaign. Negotiations between Tricolor and the athlete’s staff are advanced, while the clubs have yet to reach an agreement. The first information came from “ESPN”.
Lucas Ramon has a contract with Mirassol until April and can now sign a pre-contract with any team. To release the full-back in advance, Leão Caipira requests financial compensation from São Paulo. The clubs are therefore negotiating an agreement.
