Sérgio Ramos arrived at the team in February 2025 and, since then, has made 34 appearances and scored eight goals with the team. In Monterrey he participated in the Concacaf Champions League, the Mexican Championship and the Club World Cup, but did not win any of these competitions.
Indeed, the announcement of the departure comes three days after the elimination in the semi-finals of the national league of Toluca.

“Saying goodbye is never easy. It ends a stage that began full of illusion in February and which allowed me to discover a country, a city, football… and that leaves me with many new experiences and above all many friends.
I will always be proud to have worn the captain’s bracelet of the Raiados, to have led the team in the first Club World Cup in its new format, to have fought in the Final, the Opening, the Leagues Cup, the Concacaf Champions Cup… and to have courageously defended the Steel Giant alongside them in every match we played at home.
I left everything on and off the field to be able to give the best of myself. 34 matches, more than 3,000 minutes, 8 goals and so many emotions that it is impossible to describe in numbers.
To the club, to my dear colleagues, to the technical staff, to the employees, to everyone, thank you. And above all thank you to you, fans, who showed me your warmth and affection from the first moment I set foot in the city. I will always remember this stage of my career with nostalgia and I will always say with pride “Go Monterrey!”
