Sevilla captain Marcão was outraged by the attribution of foul in a dispute between him and Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham. The Royal Spanish Football Federation called the hook an expulsion during the match, verbal insults towards the referee and unsportsmanlike behavior.
Muñiz Ruiz reported in the match summary that Marcão called him a “son of a bitch”. Seville maintains that swearing, in Portuguese, does not mean a direct insult, but a figure of speech.
