Police in Oslo, Norway, mobilized a large-scale operation this Monday morning after learning, at 10:56 a.m. (6:56 a.m. Brasilia time), that a man had fired shots inside the Storo Storsenter, a shopping center located north of the capital. In the police report, operations manager Eirik Sannes reported the notification and asked people to avoid the premises. No one was injured.

According to the Norwegian newspaper VG, ambulances and 10 to 12 vehicles were sent to the scene, in addition to a police helicopter.
According to police officer Tor Grøttum, the armed man himself called the police while the teams were moving.
— We received a call from the armed person saying he was at the Storo Storsenter. While we were on the way, a shot was fired and we received numerous notifications about it, he told VG.
Police said the suspect was carrying a shotgun.
Around 11:05 a.m., the man was arrested and officers told local media they had “control of the suspect.” Subsequent police reports identified the detainee as a 19-year-old man from Oslo who received treatment from medical professionals there.
At 11:18 a.m., after internal searches, the police indicated that they had searched “almost the entire center” without finding any injuries.
Grøttum confirmed that the shooting happened inside the shopping center and stressed that the advice to avoid the area was taken as a precaution, in case other people were involved.
—We understand it is only one person, but we are working to determine if there are other people involved, he said.
He added that there is still no definition of motivation.
The area was declared safe at 11:27 a.m. (7:27 a.m. Brasilia time). The police announced that the center could reopen.
Mall manager Unni Merethe Aasgaard told VG that the place was empty of customers. Representative of the Egon Storo restaurant, Ingrid Hole reported that people have started to enter the establishment again.
