The Christmas atmosphere will involve everyone in Itaipava, Petrópolis, Serrana region of Rio de Janeiro, this Saturday. Including pets. A shopping center in the region is organizing a themed fashion show starting at 2 p.m. during which participants must wear creative looks. The event, open to dogs of all breeds, will take place alongside the Golden Christmas Meeting.

Shopping Vilarejo (Estrada União e Indústria, 10.035) promotes the program, as part of a partnership between Goldens Petrópolis and the Be Happy veterinarian. All participants will win gifts and the first five will receive special kits and baths at Be Happy. The first prize wins a 10 kg bag of ND food, offered by Farmina Petrópolis.
Besides the fun, there is space to help your friends. The organization asks participants to bring 1kg of food to donate to GAPA, which takes care of animals housed in the city.
Goldens Petrópolis was born without planning, under the influence of Golden Club Rio, but quickly went its own way. The initiative began with meetings between three dogs – Major, Pipa and Bruce – which ended up revealing the presence of many owners passionate about their animals in the city of Petrópolis.
According to founder Matheus Kapps, this unpretentious beginning is directly linked to the growth and strength of the group. Over time, the collective began to function as a network of coexistence, mutual aid and indication of truly welcoming spaces for pets, favoring meetings open to all breeds, even if the idea of bringing together exclusively golden dogs remains a desire.
— Goldens are born from the affection between owners and their dogs, and seeing it develop so organically is exciting. This Christmas gathering is a celebration of what we have built together: a true and loving community that believes that Petrópolis can be increasingly pet-friendly — said Matheus.
