Currently Sirat of Olivier Laxe is still in the fight for the Oscar for best international film, but the Hollywood Academy tHe also made public the 15 shortlisted in ten other categories. A list of the five candidates who will be announced during the nominations on January 22.
And, it should be noted, Laxe’s film also appears in the list of best photographs (by Mauro Hercé), music (composed by Kangding Ray), song and of foundry (the novelty of the Oscars this year, and which includes in this category Sergi Lopez and a group of ravers with no prior experience as actors), in addition to best international film.
They present some of the feature films that have been or will continue to be the most talked about this year, such as One battle after another, Frankenstein, Wicked: Part II, F1: The Movie, The Sinners or Avatar: Fire and Ashes. Here is the complete list of the maximum fifteen titles having passed the first cut with the best international film, in view of the awards ceremony of the 98th edition of the Oscars which will take place Sunday March 15.
