The Government of São Paulo will launch, this Tuesday (16/12), the second opinion of the Cinematographic Commission of the State of São Paulo, focused on audiovisual productions in the interior and on the coast of the state. Registration is free.
Any municipality in São Paulo can apply, except the capital. Named Call for Selection of Rental Cities 01/2026, the initiative is carried out through the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry and executed by the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS).
Currently, 57 municipalities are already part of the network of rental cities. The objective is to encourage the mapping and dissemination of destinations with scenic, historical, cultural and natural capacity, in addition to promoting the local institutional organization for the reception of films, series, documentaries and other audiovisual productions.
Criteria include historical relevance, tourism potential, available infrastructure and regional diversity. “The expansion of the São Paulo State Cinematographic Commission strengthens the audiovisual sector as a production chain and creates new opportunities for municipalities, stimulating the local economy and projecting the territories of São Paulo to the national and international market,” highlighted the Secretary of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry, Marilia Marton.
