
The apartment of Judge Fátima Bezerra (featured photo), located in the Altiplano district, in João Pessoa, was the target of a theft. The property was empty at the time of the invasion and no one was injured.
The incident was registered with the civil police on Friday (26/12), but so far it has not been possible to determine the exact date on which the crime took place.

According to authorities, objects were removed from the apartment, including items belonging to former Paraíba governor José Maranhão, who was married to the magistrate. He died in February 2021.
The Paraíba Civil Police informed, in a note, that investigations are ongoing and that the procedures began as soon as the complaint was formalized.
The case is under the responsibility of the Specialized Property Crime Commission (DCCPAT), coordinated by the 1st Regional Superintendence of Civil Police.
So far, there is no information on the suspects identified nor any details on the quantity or value of the stolen items. Police have also not confirmed whether the crime was committed by a single person or multiple people involved.
The judge’s office said she was outside the property at the time of the theft and was monitoring the work of authorities.
