
The Extraordinary Secretariat of the Women’s Football World Cup was created last week by a decree signed by the Minister of Sports, André Fufuca. The organization will be responsible for coordinating actions for the World Cup, which will be played in Brazil in 2027, in partnership with FIFA.

According to the ministry, the secretariat will serve as a central link between the Brazilian government and FIFA, to monitor international commitments, support states and municipalities and provide guarantees in areas such as security, urban mobility, telecommunications, immigration, health and information technology.
The secretariat will operate until December 2027. According to the ministry, the stadiums will not need renovation. The work will focus on information technology, health, lawns and Brazilian airports.
The 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be played in the cities of Fortaleza (CE), Recife (PE), Salvador (BA), Belo Horizonte (MG), São Paulo (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Porto Alegre (RS) and Brasília (DF), between June 24 and July 25, 2027.
