A Basic Health Unit (UBS) in São Sebastião (DF) was flooded due to the heavy rains that hit the region this Tuesday morning (16/12). Besides the UBS, the city’s roads were also damaged.

According to the Federal District Health Department (SES-DF), the Unit suffered infiltration following intense rain accompanied by wind, which caused the gutters to become blocked.
For security reasons, services have been temporarily suspended. After the maintenance, which included cleaning and electrical safety check, the UBS resumed normal operation.
The secretariat specifies that “it is in discussion with the responsible organizations to allow the pruning of trees around the building, with the aim of preventing further disorder and ensuring better operating conditions for the unit”.
