Heavy rains that hit the federal district on Monday night (12/1) caused at least eight trees to fall in different parts of the district.
The most affected area was the Federal Senate: seven trees fell in the front area of the Interligis building, which is the inner body of the chamber. The fall occurred at around 7:40 p.m., in front of the main entrance, near the N2 highway, and damaged part of the exterior structure.
No one was hurt, but cars were hit.

Minutes later, at the same time, another incident was recorded at Setor de Autarquias Sul, in Plano Piloto. The Military Fire Department found a white vehicle hit by a tree. The driver was conscious and unharmed.
The road had to be closed to ensure safety while the tree was being treated and removed. Military police were also called in to support the operation.
Teams continue to monitor areas at risk due to waterlogged soil and strong winds recorded during the storm.
