How Vecna’s arrival changed the score of Stranger Things
With the book, which hits North American bookstores on Tuesday (2/12), Nancy and Robin will uncover a new mystery that has plagued the city of Hawkins following supposed devastation due to an earthquake — which was actually caused by the villain Vecna.
However, Nancy or any other characters from the series are not expected to appear in a new live-action production. “I’ve heard rumors of spinoffs for Eleven, Steve, and Dustin… but that’s not that interesting, because we’ve already done that (exploring these characters),” creator Ross Duffer told Deadline.

However, the creators do not rule out that the new products will eventually reach the public. In an interview with Variety, they provided details about the derivative that will actually arrive on the streaming service.
“(The project) is a fresh start with new characters,” Matt Duffer said. “We want to do something that renews the series, not tied into a big web of events (from past seasons).”
The first volume of Stranger Things Season 5 is available on Netflix. The second volume premieres on December 25, and the final episode only on December 31, both at 10 p.m.
