Valencia City Hall will launch this weekend, December 13 and 14, a set of special measures to manage traffic in the city center on the occasion of the Christmas campaign, during from 5:00 p.m. to … 10:00 p.m.
Due to the large influx of pedestrians expected for these days, the council will adopt various traffic restrictionsdeviations and adjustments in various EMT lines. In addition, the local Valencia police can enforce parking bans and carry out traffic cuts when they deem it necessary.
Traffic congestion controls
During the period of validity of the measures, there will be a special reinforced Local Police system which will establish saturation checks on the following access routes to the city center: Calle de la Pau with Marqués de Dosaigües, Avenue del Oest with Quevedo, Sant Vicent Màrtir with Periodista Azzati, Sant Vicent Màrtir with Sant Pau, Xàtiva with Plaza Sant Agustí and Xàtiva with Marqués de Sotelo. These reductions may be expanded, modified or reduced as needed.
In addition, they will establish preventive controls in Colón with the Porta de la Mar; Gran Vía Marqués del Túria with the Count of Salvatierra, Isabel la Catòlica and Pizarro; and Gran Vía de les Germanies with Russafa Street.
At the same time, the Local Police can carry out operations cuts or detours for traffic in general, allowing passage, if possible, only to people with reduced mobility, public transport, residents, access to public and private parking lots and vehicles that carry out loading and unloading tasks during specific hours. Likewise, they may authorize passage to vehicles which, in their opinion, can or must access for reasons of general interest or urgent necessity which cannot be postponed.
A system for managing the mobility of police officers will also be put in place, from 5 p.m. At 10:00 p.m. at the following locations: El Saler Shopping Center, Aqua and El Corte Inglés Shopping Centers on Avenida de Francia, Nuevo Centro, Arena Shopping Center and Christmas Fair.
EMT Valence Detours
Regarding the differences in EMT Valencia buses, From December 12 to 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. To 10:00 p.m., lines 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 19, 31, 32, 35, 40, 70, 71, 72 and 81 will see the route modified. Detours and stops will be posted on the EMT website and app.
