According to German newspaper Bild, the 23-year-old striker has already informed the club’s board of directors of his desire to leave the team in January, motivated by a personal requirement off the field: that of his wife, Loredana Zefi, to live in a major European city.

A rapper and influencer with a strong presence on social media, Loredana reportedly pressured Adeyemi for an immediate change, making clear her discomfort with life in Dortmund and her desire to settle in one of the continent’s major centers. The decision would have had a decisive impact on the position of the player, who began to act behind the scenes to make the exit possible.
Also according to the German publication, Adeyemi recently changed agents and attempted to renegotiate his contract with the club – a move interpreted internally as a preparatory step for the transfer. The current contract with Borussia Dortmund runs until June 2027, which leaves room for negotiation, but also strengthens the club’s position in a possible conflict of values.
