Nahuel González, deputy of Izquierda Unida integrated into Sumar and vice-president of the commission of inquiry into Dana, announced this Wednesday his intention to summon Vox and Revuelta, the youth organization that organized aid to Valencia after the cold fall of … end of 2024, to the commission to respond to the latest information on possible irregularities and “lack of transparency” about funds raised for Dana through donations.
As González confirmed in the halls of the Congress of Deputies, the “dimension” of the events is not yet known, although it is necessary that they “appear and explain” what happened to this money. “The extreme right has used the good will of the people to take advantage of it and we think that it is very serious, that is why we are going to ask that they appear before the commission of inquiry,” declared the deputy, then adding that it is a “problem that people of the extreme right themselves say has occurred”, in reference to the complaint filed by Vox with Revuelta at the Prosecutor’s Office and made public last Tuesday for embezzlement of “hundreds of thousands euros”.
He also accused Vox and Revuelta of “confusing” and “filling with hoaxes” while “people were dying.” There are still a large number of people appearing at the commission and therefore González did not confirm the date of the possible declaration. He also did not confirm which speakers could “come forward” and explain the alleged irregularities, although he believes that Abascal would be “interesting” on the part of Vox.
The commission’s working group must vote to include both organizations on the appearance list. As he declared, the PSOE “considers this convocation interesting”, as do “the majority of investiture partners”. “We all think the same thing“, condemned González.
