THE Talavera de la Reina Integrated Care Managementdependent on the Health Service of Castile-La Mancha (Sescam), was selected to be part of the national project Nursing Research Challenge (NRC), a pioneering initiative to promote nursing research … within health organizations.
The NRC, promoted by the National Association of Nursing Directors (ANDE) in collaboration with regional entities, aims to promote a culture of research, foster the detection of talents, strengthen training and dissemination of knowledge, foster multidisciplinary collaboration and guarantee the transfer of results to clinical practice.
After a competitive call in which more than 30 institutions from all over Spain participated, the project presented by the Management of Talavera de la Reina was evaluated very positively by a committee of experts, resulting in it being selected to join the 2026 cohort.
The commitment acquired with this recognition envisages the implementation, over the next four years, of at least two recommendations for each of the NRC’s strategic axes, as well as the carrying out of initial, annual and sustainability evaluations to measure the real impact of the actions undertaken.
The Director of Nursing of Talavera de la Reina Management, Sonia Plasencia, highlighted that “the iNursing research is essential to continue to advance the quality of care. This recognition commits us to integrating scientific evidence into our daily practice. »
Among the first planned actions are the diagnosis of the current state of nursing research at the center, training and internal mentoring aimed at professionals interested in developing scientific projects, the dissemination and coordination of research and collaboration initiatives between units and the integration of results into clinical practice, with particular attention to patient safety and quality of care.
Participation in the Nursing Research Challenge represents a strategic opportunity to consolidate the role of the nurse as a key agent of health innovation, integrate scientific evidence into daily care and strengthen research networks nationally.
