Tennis players have once again dominated the ranking of the season’s highest paid athletes in world sport. For the third year in a row, North American Coco Gauff tops the list, with total income of $31 million (168.6 million reais), including salaries, prizes and sponsorships, according to the Sportico website.
Of the 15 athletes listed, 10 are tennis players. The first to appear on the list outside of the green ball is skier Eileen Gu, who ranks fourth with an earnings of 23 million US dollars (125.1 million reais).
In front of Gu, the “podium” includes Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek, with respectively 30 million dollars (163.1 million reais) and 23.1 million dollars (125.6 million reais).
