“On behalf of the international Ahmadiyya Muslim community, I condemn in the strongest terms the heinous terrorist attack against innocent members of the Jewish community in Australia.
No one can ever justify such acts of violence. Islam advocates the absolute sanctity of human life and declares that killing one innocent person is tantamount to killing all of humanity. Therefore, acts of terror and hatred are completely contrary to the true teachings of Islam. As Muslims, our faith requires that we extend love, compassion and mercy to people of all religions and beliefs.
“Our deepest condolences go out to all those affected by this tragedy and we pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.”
