The wine that closes the year is part of Anonymous Winegrowers. María Falcón and Cristina Yagüe met by chance during a wine tasting. The first comes from a family with a wine-growing tradition and the second is an oenologist and agricultural engineer. Both observed small plots, … listen to local varieties and understand the Atlantic identity to forge their common project.
His series ‘Os Dunares’ brings this together vocation of origin and landscapeinspired by the coastal ecosystems that shape the character of the grape. Os Dunares Albariño comes from vines 25 to 40 years old driven in vines, placed on granite soils just 400 meters from the sea. Small, airy and bright plots which deliver precise fruit, marked by the oceanic proximity.
Production begins with destemming the grapes before slow fermentation in stainless steel. Then, a aging for at least five months on lees which provides volume and balance without losing freshness.
A white that reflects a clear and honest version of Albariño: the aromas citrusstone fruits and herbal background reminiscent of fennel. On the palate, it is tasty, mineral, with that salinity so recognizable from the coast.
