La Paz, December 12 (EFE). – The President of Bolivia, Rodrigo Paz, met this Friday with five European ambassadors in La Paz, including the Spanish Ambassador Fernando García Casas, to strengthen the political dialogue with the Union and plan future agreements.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the European Union (EU) delegation in Bolivia, the Spaniard Jaume Segura, and the ambassador of Germany, José Schultz; from France, Olivier Fontan, and from Sweden, Johanna Teague, the Office of the President’s Peace Spokesperson explained in a press release.
While the President published on his social networks, the “working session” with the ambassadors “addressed three main axes: the renewal and planning of future agreements, the intensification of cooperation and the coordination of high-level mutual visits to effectively monitor commitments.”
“These advances reaffirm our intention to create a more ambitious framework of understanding in line with global challenges. Therefore, we express our sincere gratitude for the constant support,” added Paz, whose publication included photos of the meeting.
According to the presidential spokesman, the president also emphasized the value of the relationship with the European bloc, which is “built on mutual respect, trust and a shared vision for the future.”
“Similarly, he reiterated that the relations between Bolivia and the European Union will not only continue to strengthen, but will also grow exceptionally, consolidating themselves as an important strategic alliance for the country,” the note said.
Paz, who was sworn in as president on November 8, has stated numerous times that one of his administration’s goals is to “bring Bolivia to the world and bring the world to Bolivia.” EFE
