The Córdoba delegation from AmCham Argentina ended the year with his traditional New Year’s Eve cocktail El Terron Golf Clubat a meeting attended by more than 120 private sector representatives, provincial officials and allied organizations. The axis of the event was marked by the diagnoses and prognosis he proposed Alejandro DiazCEO of the United States Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, who focused on macroeconomic stability, regulatory predictability and the strategic role of Córdoba in the new economic scenario
In his speech, Díaz acknowledged “the significant progress” made at both national and provincial levels in line with the objectives of Budget surplus, Inflation slowdown, Deregulations And Normalization of foreign trade. However, he warned that this process is still incomplete unless a regulatory framework is consolidated that provides clear and stable long-term rules. “We continue to need a modern environment that guarantees stability and predictability to attract new investments,” he told businessmen and officials.

For the leader of AmCham, 2026 seems to be a crucial year. “It will be a turning point in the consolidation of this new economic and social contract,” he explained, stressing at the same time that Argentina’s development will only be possible if macroeconomic stability is maintained and progress is made towards an economy more open, more predictable and more competitive. Along the way he remarked: Córdoba plays a fundamental role due to its productive profile, industrial network and ability for public-private coordination.
Expectations of entrepreneurs
Díaz’s message came against a backdrop of great expectations from the business community for the signals that the state can give in terms of investments, infrastructure and the rules of the game. In this sense, the CEO of AmCham appreciated the joint work with the province and the alignment of strategic objectives between the Government of Córdoba and the national administration, but emphasized that legal predictability is the indispensable step to transform stability into sustainable growth.
“The year 2026 will be a turning point for the consolidation of a new economic and social contract,” said Alejandro Díaz.
Also present at the meeting were the provincial economics minister, Guillermo Acosta; the Minister of Production, Science and Technological Innovation, Peter of Dellarossa; the Minister of Public Works, Ricardo Sosa; and the President of the ProCórdoba Agency, Paul by Chiaraamong other representatives of the cabinet and business. The presence of these actors strengthened the institutional profile of the event and the emphasis on dialogue between the public and private sectors.

On his part Gustavo Campos, President of AmCham Central Region and Partner at PwC Argentinastressed that “the region is today a driver of productive integration and innovation, showing that competitiveness is also being built within the country. Within this framework, in 2026 we will continue our federalization strategy with projects related to the opening of the Santa Fe delegation or another delegation in the southern provinces, thus expanding our presence to the most productive and strategic poles of Argentina.”
Although the cocktail marked the completion of AmCham Córdoba’s activities in 2025, Alejandro Díaz’s speech acted as a signpost for the future. The combination of macroeconomic stability, economic openness and clear rules appears to the Chamber as a necessary condition for the country and productive provinces such as Córdoba to be able to capitalize on the new scenario and attract long-term investments.
