After being urgently hospitalized following decompensation during an expedition to the Lanín volcano, the family of Christian Petersen issued a statement yesterday reporting a favorable development.
“This Christmas, the Petersens are taking part in the holiday to say thank you for Chris’ significant improvement,” they said. “Thanks to an accurate diagnosis from the hired guide, Chris was referred to the Junín Hospital ten days ago with significant physical distress due to the excessive effort to reach the summit of the Lanín volcano, which resulted in a preventive cardiological condition on which all attention was focused,” they explained, thanking for the support received.
“Chris comes day by day, little by little, recovering thanks to the excellent team and the strength that characterizes him. Happy holidays,” commented Roberto Petersen, the chef’s brother, later.
