The circulation of long-distance and high-speed trains at Madrid Chamartín station was restored “to normal” on the morning of July 25 after repairing the accident that caused traffic to stop at the station for about an hour.
“The incident is over,” Adif communicated at 11:09 a.m. last July, to inform the rest that the trains are gradually recovering their frequency of passage in the Madrid station.
At the start of this festive Christmas day, several long-distance and high-speed trains stopped in Chamartín due to an incident that affected the station itself.
“Due to an incident affecting the Madrid Chamartín station (Ancho Estándar), long-distance AV trains are stopped,” announced around 10:15 a.m. the entity responsible for rail traffic in Spain.
This minor incident caused a delay of an average duration of 25 minutes on some high-speed and long-distance trains, and affected a train coming from Valencia and heading to León, which stops near Madrid Chamartín station.
