President of the Senate, Davi Alcolombre (Uniao-AP)He reported, today, Tuesday (2), that the National Conference session will vote on Budget Guidelines Bill (PLDO) 2026 It will be Thursday (4). In the Mixed Budget Committee (CMO), the vote was postponed until Wednesday (3).
“We have a lot of disagreements on issues related to the budget,” Alcolombre said during the plenary session. “In fact, today I canceled our entire agenda after the plenary session so that we can try to bring together all the actors involved so that we can reach an understanding on the treatment of the budget.”
There is concern among members of Congress that the LDO will be voted on soon, because the text needs to be approved to begin discussion and vote on the 2026 Budget Repeal Act (PLOA). As the name suggests, the LDO provides the budget guidelines itself.
They want to avoid the delay that occurred last year, when the 2025 local liberalization plan was only approved at the end of December, moving the vote on the 2025 liberalization plan to the beginning of this year. Which led to a delay in the start of parliamentary amendments.
