A 63-year-old man died after suffering a heart attack while driving, lost control of the vehicle and crashed in Plaza Moreno at 2 and 51 p.m.
As explained in detail at the beginning, a gray Peugeot 208 traveling on the number 14 went astray and crashed into the side of the El Pulpito food stall. As can be seen in the video, he passed just a few centimeters past an employee who was clearing a table. The car actually drives over this table.
The driver was Juan Martín Lilli, who according to initial information had suffered a cardiac decompensation that caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
While driving, the vehicle was about to hit a fast food restaurant employee who, according to witnesses, was miraculously saved.
Minutes later, the SAME ambulance arrived, doctors treated the driver at the scene and took him to the San Martín Hospital, where health workers confirmed his death.
Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries or damage to third parties were reported. Traffic in the area was temporarily affected while assistance and assessments were carried out.
The case was prosecuted as a “cause of death investigation” and the La Plata Public Prosecutor’s Office 2 intervened.
