THE finance minister, Fernando Haddaddeclared this Monday (8) that a possible contribution of the Union in Email would be less than 6 billion reais and could be achieved through a National Congress Bill (PLN).
These statements were made to the press after the minister left the ministry headquarters in Brasilia. He was asked if there would be room for contributions to the Post Office this year. “I would have done it, but it’s not something that’s been decided,” Haddad said.
Asked if the value would be 6 billion reais, as reported by the press, Haddad replied: “The value is lower than that, to my knowledge. It has not been decided,” he replied.
Still according to the minister, the contribution could be paid through a PLN, without the need to issue a provisional extraordinary credit measure, which exceeds the expenditure ceiling.
Haddad also stated that bank credit of the order of 20 billion reais that Correios is seeking public and private banks It may still be released this year, but the government is not only working on this possibility.
“We always condition everything restructuring plan. The Post Office must change, it must be restructured. So everything is going well, but there are still details to be worked out,” he concluded.
